Can we apply texture coat to Hardibacker® as it is cheaper than HardiTex®?
Answer: No, it is only 4.5mm thick and is designed for stucco only.
Does Hardibacker® have to go on a cavity?
Answer: Yes, it cannot be direct fixed.
Hardibacker® used to be blue, but now I have noticed that it is grey. Is it a different product?
Answer: No, the colour is the only difference.
I want to take the Hardibacker® right down to the ground for a continuous finish. Is this possible?
Answer: No, there must be a minimum 50mm ground clearance between the finished ground level and bottom edge of sheet.
