Wet Area Construction

Wet areas, such as bathrooms, are expensive to install in the first place, so it follows that any problems are also expensive to fix.

Design/Looks

Using James Hardie internal linings can stop your dream bathroom from becoming a nightmare.

For many years James Hardie's Villaboard® Lining and HardiePanel Compressed Sheet has provided the best foundation for a long-lasting, professional and water-resistant finish.

It's important that the wet area construction is in accordance to current good practice and complies with clause E2 of the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC). In wet areas a water proofing membrane is required to achieve the desired performance and to enhance the durability of materials. You have the peace of mind knowing that our current technical literature conforms to the requirements of the NZBC.

Installed correctly, James Hardie internal lining products can help prevent water or moisture from leaking to other parts of your home, protecting you from the hefty replacement costs of rotten timbers, walls and expensive tiles.
